An opportunity for manufacturers in Victoria
The Innovation Insights program is a Victorian Government initiative directed at promoting the benefits of adopting "Best Practice" techniques to manufacturing companies in Victoria. The three-year program comprises 225, four-hour, visits to companies that have seen real and measurable benefits from one or more "Best practice" techniques. The "Best Practices" covered in the program will include Lean Manufacturing, Human Resource Development, Sustainable Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Quality Improvement, Continuous Improvement and Occupational Health and Safety. Further practices will be added as demand for them is identified.
This program provides an unrivalled opportunity for you to network with like-minded people and gain a deeper understanding of the various "Best Practice" techniques, the effort required to implement them, the obstacles faced in introducing them and the rewards from adopting them. The visits will cover a wide range of different industries, allowing you the opportunity to learn from outside your own industry sector and to identify innovative ways of developing a competitive edge.
