Office of Western Sydney        

The NSW Government established OWS in January 1998 to provide strategic leadership for Western Sydney and deliver innovative whole-of-region initiatives to advance the economic, social development and environmental priorities and interests of the region. OWS offices are located in Westmead and Campbelltown.


TCCI -Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  The Tasmanian Chamber Of Commerce & Industry is Tasmania's peak business organisation.

The TCCI is Tasmania's peak business organisation. It provides effective leadership and a range of quality services to businesses both large and small, located throughout the state. It  seeks to work with Government and other groups to shape Tasmania's economic and social environments in a way which promotes business growth and community prosperity.


MESA

Maintenance Engineers Society of Australia (MESA) - a technical society of the Institution of Engineers - all likely to be practicing maintenance engineers.


Manufacturing Society of Australia (ManSA)

ManSA is the national focus on manufacturing for the Institution of Engineers, Australia and is able to provide authoritative leadership and foster excellence in Australian manufacturing practice. ManSA  operates at a local level as Chapters with national co-ordination. 


SACC - Sunraysia Area Consultative Committee

One of the national network of Area Consultative Committees (ACCs),  providing an important link between the Federal Government and rural and metropolitan Australia. As volunteer community based organisations, ACCs are uniquely placed to respond to issues in their regions and provide a vital conduit to government on local, social and economic conditions. ACCs work in partnership with the Department of Transport and Regional Services to identify opportunities, priorities and development strategies for their regions. Host and promoter of events to local business - a mix of manufacturing and non-manufacturing.


Sunraysia/Mallee Economic Development Board (SMEDB)

Sunraysia/Mallee Economic Development Board (SMEDB) - an independent not-for-profit incorporated organisation that is funded by all businesses and enterprises in the Mildura Rural City Council (MRCC) region through contributions to the economic development and tourism levy. As the peak economic development organisation for Sunraysia and the Mallee Tri-State region (SMR) of Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, it operates at the macro strategic industry level rather than at a micro single business level, creating and developing positive, commercially viable climates for regional business enterprise to capitalise upon." Hosts and promoters of events to local business - a mix of manufacturing and non-manufacturing.


Department of Innovation Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD)

A department of the Victorian government: primarily a promoter of events to their manufacturing clients to raise awareness of modern, lean and agile manufacturing practices.


Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC)

Located at the Australian Technology Park in the former Sydney railway yards at Redfern. Funded by the NSW state and Commonwealth governments.


Australian Business Ltd (ABL)

A member-based business improvement association, originally the Chamber of Manufactures of NSW.

Australian Business (SA) is a Smartlink partner in its own right.

Australian Business Limited (ABL) is a member-based business support organisation that provides advice, networking, support and advocacy services to its members, and to the wider business community. Originally the Chamber of Manufactures of NSW, ABL has adapted over the years by anticipating the needs of its members. ABL has more than 11,000 members and clients. Its membership represent a broad cross section of Australian industry and is involved in: the food industry, clothing, chemicals, information technology, health, education and training, textiles, metals, banking and finance, transport and travel.


Southaustralia.biz

 

A South Australian government agency, part of the Department of Trade and Economic Development. The successor to CIBM, and the South Australian Centre or Manufacturing (SACFM).


City of Playford

 

A large local government area in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, centred on Elizabeth, which has some of Australia's largest factories - e.g. the GMH vehicle factory.


Craftsouth

Craftsouth: Centre for Contemporary Craft and Design is the major professional body serving the contemporary crafts industry in South Australia. 


Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu

A well known international management consulting firm, whose South Australian branch is setting up workshops on e-commerce for clusters of manufacturers.


Department of State and Regional Development

(Victoria)

The DSRD acts in partnership with business, other levels of government and the community to maximise Victoria's capacity for economic and social growth. It offers services to assist firms to develop and grow, with a special focus on high-tech manufacturing and knowledge-based business


Inner West BEC

The Inner West Business Enterprise Centre is one of a number of BECs in Australia: a resource centre set up to aid the development of small business. The Inner West BEC is located at Hindmarsh, Adelaide.


Innoven

A business unit of Goulburn-Ovens Institute of TAFE, based in Benalla, Victoria. It provides creative, value-added, and differentiated middle to senior management training and business consulting services.  Hosts and promoters of events to local business - a mix of manufacturing and non-manufacturing.


Institution of Engineers Australia

The professional association of Australian engineers. It produces the magazine Engineers Australia.


Learning Network Queensland

Formerly known as Queensland Open Learning Network (QOLN). Learning Network Queensland is an initiative of the Queensland Government to meet the education and training needs of tertiary institutions, industry, business and government. LNQ's resources include a team of core specialists in open learning and a network of over 40 Open Learning Centres in Queensland. 


 

Murraylands Regional Development Board

Its mission: to facilitate business development and business education, tourism development, economic development and involvement in labour market programs - in the Murray Lands area of South Australia.


Northern Adelaide Development Board
Northern Adelaide Business Enterprise Centre

A regional economic authority, funded by local government, which facilitates and promotes economic development in the northern Adelaide area. The Northern Adelaide BEC, another of our partners, is part of the NADB.


Queensland Manufacturing Institute (QMI)

QMI was set up in 1993 to assist local and interstate manufacturing organizations in becoming more world-competitive, particularly through the uptake of new technology. Based in the Brisbane - Gold Coast corridor.


Redcentre

Redcentre's principal objective is networking commercial opportunities in photonics, optoelectronics, electronics, and microtechnologies. Based at Carlton, Melbourne, with offices also in Sydney and Canberra.


University of South Australia (UniSA)

The largest university in South Australia, with a long tradition of support to manufacturing. Home of Smartlink (National Institute of Manufacturing Management), and many other manufacturing-related groups, including:

Western Business Enterprise Centre

Similar to the other Business Enterprise Centres, the Western BEC (based at Footscray, Melbourne) provides services to small business, including training, coaching, access to facilities and services, and monthly seminars.
