Background

* Research Director, University of Adelaide (since 1996); in research management/policy/strategy roles since 1990 and in higher education administration since 1982.

* Led the move to establish a professional society of research managers and administrators from all research sectors in Australasia; served as Foundation President in first two years; currently Immediate Past President.

* Founding member of International Consortium of Research Management Societies; and co-chair International Committee of Society of Research Administrators (No. America).

* Strong interest in working with researchers, their collaborators and sponsors to create synergies and develop strategies for mutually beneficial and long-term alliances - locally, nationally and internationally.
